Apple has just launched updated MacBook Airs with faster versions of Intel’s Haswell processors. It has also reduced the prices by $100 for each model.
The new 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air come with a faster 1.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor along with the same 4GB of RAM.
The entry level 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models with 128GB of flash storage cost $899 and $1099 respectively, and the higher-end 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models with 256GB of flash storage cost $999 and $1199 respectively.
The new MacBook Airs also offer slightly improved battery life. iTunes Movie playback time has increased from from 8 to 9 hours for the 11-inch model and from 10 to 12 hours for the 13-inch model.
Users can opt for build-to-order options such as a faster 1.7 GHz Intel i7 processors with up to 8GB of RAM on both 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models.
The shipping times for all the new MacBook Air models is currently showing up as “within 24 hours.”
