As it is known to all, iTunes backup file itself is not readable, unless it is restored to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, it means nothing for you. Therefore, you need a piece of third party iOS data recovery software to access and recover data from the iTunes backup file.
iFonebox is the program I would like to recommend for it can export up to 15 types of data from iTunes backup file to readable files and transferred to your computer for record keeping. Besides, it scans and recovers fast and smoothly. iFonebox is currently available for both Windows and Mac, please choose the right version to download and install.
Below are the detailed steps.
> Install and run iFonebox.
> Choose the recovery mode of “Recover from iTunes Backup”.
> Select an iTunes backup file from which you want to extract data.
> Select a certain data to extract from all the supported data categories or simply click
“Recover All” to export all the supported data.
> Wait until the data scanning and analyzing process completes.
> Preview all the exported data and select what you want to recover to computer.
