iPhone SE has been released on this Monday morning. Considering the outstanding performance similar to iPhone 6s yet with a much smaller size and much lower price, it is attracting enough for people to order one. For iPhone users who messages others a lot, learn how to transfer text messages to the new iPhone SE from old iPhone is necessary, as the messages are so important that they would like to migrate all the messages to the new iPhone SE.
You can migrate the messages through restoring from the iTunes backup, but it is time consuming. Therefore I would like to introduce a way to selectively transfer messages on old iPhone to iPhone SE with a third party iPhone data recovery software. The solution is to export the messages selectively with iFonebox from iTunes backup for your old iPhone and transfer directly to your iPhone.
Before getting down to detailed steps, please make sure that you have an iTunes backup, if you don’t have one, back up your iPhone to iTunes right away.
Here is how.
> Install and run iFonebox.
Note: iFonebox is available for both Windows and Mac, please choose the right version to download and install.
> Connect your iPhone SE to your computer.
> Choose the recovery mode of “Recover from iTunes Backup”.
> Select an iTunes backup from which you want to extract messages when you are presented with a list of iTunes backup files.
> Note: If you cannot find the iTunes backup file on your computer, please hit the button of “Select more” to browse your computer to locate the iTunes backup file.
After Selecting the iTunes backup, you will be presented with an interface listing all the supported data types.
> Choose the messages to scan selectively from the interface listing all the supported data categories by simply clicking on the icon for “Messages”.
> The data scanning and analyzing will take quite a while, if you have a large number of text messages that have been backed up to iTunes.
> After the scanning and analyzing is completed, all the messages will be extracted and presented in a list.
> Please select all or some of exported messages from the list and transfer to the iPhone SE that has been connected to your computer by clicking on “Recover to Device”.
