iPad Pro Can Be Your Next Computer Due To These 5 Reasons

5 reasons ipad can be your next computer

Apple published a new 60-second spot through its official YouTube channel yesterday, provocatively titled “5 reasons iPad Pro can be your next computer”. And here they are:

  • It’s more powerful than most computers.
  1. Use multiple apps at the same time and drag and drop between them
  2. Switch apps using gestures
  3. Use two apps at the same time

  • It’s anything you want it to be as long as there’s an app for that.
  • It goes anywhere and stays connected everywhere.

Easily browse, search, and organize all of your documents in the Files app — and access them from any of your iOS devices.

  • Using it as easy as tapping, swiping, pinching and dragging.

It gives you instant access to the things you do the most. Quickly take a picture, turn on lights, or control your Apple TV — all with just a swipe.

  • It’s even better with Apple Pencil
  1. You can use Apple Pencil to write, markup, and draw with built-in apps and apps from the App Store. With some apps, like Notes, you can draw and sketch with an Apple Pencil.
  1. With iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch, you can double-tap the lower section of Apple Pencil to quickly switch back to the tool you used last.

You can change what happens when you double-tap your Apple Pencil by going to Settings > Apple Pencil. Choose between these: switch between current tool and eraser, switch between current tool and last used, show color palette, off.

What if your Apple Pencil won’t pair with your iPad?

  • Make sure to center your Apple Pencil on the magnetic connector on the right edge of the iPad
  • Restart your iPad, then try to pair again
  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on
  • On the same screen, look under My Devices for your Apple Pencil. If you see it, tap Forget this Device
  • Connect your Apple Pencil in to your iPad and tap the Pair button when it appears after a few seconds
  • If you don’t see the Pair button, wait for one minute while your Apple Pencil charges. Then try connecting your Apple Pencil again and wait until you see the Pair button.
  • If you still don’t see the Pair button, contact Apple Support.
