Methods To Restore Lost Calendars From Backup When Update To iOS 9

When you don’t want to reset your iPhone or restore the whole backup to erase existing data from your iPhone or iPad, you can choose to use third party software like iFonebox to extract and restore those lost data from iTunes or iCloud backup.

Apple quietly introduced tools to recover deleted files from iCloud, and more recently, added a way to recover Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders, giving users a way to restore any lost content.

If you did not back up data from iPhone with iCloud instead of using iTunes, then you can try this method. First of all, make sure your lost calendar have been backed up on the iTunes, and do not sync your iPhone or iPad with iTunes until get the files back.

Here is what you need to do:

First, connect your iPhone 6 with PC via the USB cable. Launch iTunes and click “Summary” tab, then tap “Restore from Backup“. Not only can you recover calendar but other files as contacts, text messages, photos and more.
